It’s Christmaaaaass!

This year we wanted to celebrate the gift of giving and our MD, Jim Gandon, wanted to make sure that, somehow our Christmas display gave back to our local community and nearby independent businesses. Not the easiest of tasks, but we enjoy a good creative challenge! We decided to put our heads together in the office and came up with our final answer: a playfully hidden QR code, which when scanned, would take you through to a secret Christmas gift from us…

We came up with the ideas for the festive window graphic and settle on the influences by Elf. Because you know, WHO doesn’t like Elf the movie? The window is inspired by the quirky elves at the start of the movie and luckily, we had just the designer for the job, No1 Christmas-enthusiast, Rebecca. 

With more passion for Christmas than Santa Claus, Rebecca began the challenge creating a design perfect for the company Christmas window. Not only was this a huge challenge, but it is also the first ever window vinyl made on such a large format. Normally, she practices her crafty talents on InDesign, but this time designed the entire project on Illustrator – safe to say she smashed it. We especially love the mischievous elves melting the snowman, it definitely catches everyone’s eye when you walk or drive past! 

Lauren, our Account Manager, was given the task to ‘Christ-mas-ify’ around the window print. This was easy work for Lauren as glamming things up comes as a second nature, and she’d already put her Christmas tree up on the 1st of November… we know! She spent several hours adding the final touches inside the office with lights, garlands, baubles, an amazing office Christmas tree and even presents decorated with bows (the crimbo essentials really). They really add to the Christmas spirit that the window presents (pun intended 😉).
