Cambridge Creative: On Tour!

Cambridge Creative | Stall 2021

The team here at Cambridge Creative hit the road last week and made our way to the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation Show with our partners in crime, Thomas Bramwell.

Making our debut with a slick new stand, all designed in-house with a video played on a screen big enough to be a small cinema, the talented Thomas Bramwell team completed our exhibition space with their new contemporary furniture – and of course, we had some free goodies, including some complimentary bespoke bottles of jellybeans (which didn’t last long, we’re pleased to say!).

As usual, the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation Show did not disappoint, filled to the brim with a variety of exciting stalls, ranging from innovative tech to glamourous glamping lodges, there was something for everyone to get excited about. On our travels, we came across many interesting exhibitors, such as Tracey from Gailarde who specialise in textile and homeware furniture for holiday homes and ParcVu, who offer the UK’s most trusted park management software. We were pleased to see the exhibition was a huge success with an excellent turnout, seeing as it’s the first return since the pandemic. Throughout the busy day of meeting and greeting old and new friends, we found a couple of cheeky opportunities to participate with some of the more interactive displays …

Dave got to finally live out his Fast & Furious fantasy on the state-of-the-art F1 racing simulator created by Samsung, where he got to unleash his inner child and demonstrated his racing ability (which admittedly, has room for improvement!).

Millie got to try her hand at being an astronaut with a trip into outer space with an immersive experience in a 360° rotation VR chair which swung you around multiple times in a dizzying reality simulator. Safe to say the day was a blast, and that’s not even mentioning all the complimentary pizza and hot dogs we got to try…

But the best part of the exhibition was definitely meeting everyone who was there and seeing a lot of familiar faces again. It was a warm welcome from all of us after all the long Zoom calls we’ve had and since there’s been such a long wait for the large events to re-open, it was fantastic to not only see old friends, but to make some new ones too!

It was wonderful to be able to finally talk face-to-face and we had some interesting conversations on how the industry had changed during the pandemic – it was great to hear about how others were able to turn a time of uncertainty to a positive for them and their company – including many going paper-less and making an effort to be more eco-friendly!

I think it’s safe to say we’re eagerly awaiting the next Holiday Park & Resort Innovation Show – maybe see you there!
