Hi, I’m Joanne Vail-Iodice and I’m Content and Design Manager at Cambridge Creative.
My First Month At Cambridge Creative (Jo)
23/12/21
I lead our creative output for the business, which involves briefing in projects, overseeing content and design but I also love getting stuck into projects. One part of the role is to be involved with all things creative and to help, inspire and motivate the team but the other part is being on the client service team along with Sarah, Lauren, Rafaella and Millie (Touch here to see her blog) where our focus is on building lasting relationships and rapport. We manage the project delivery to ensure we achieve a design our clients can be proud of, and campaign goals on time. I am super excited to be a part of this team. It is a fun, fast-paced environment, with a great company culture. We have had a busy, successful month – and I was thrown into the design and amends on projects from the get-go, so I got to see what a talented bunch of people we have!
I have a background in both agency and in-house roles. One thing that really drives me in my role is the challenge of the creative brief and coming up with initial ideas and seeing the client’s reaction when the idea clicks. I still use processes taught from Norwich University of the Arts in my job today. The office is open daily but the team benefits from a blended approach offering the best of both worlds. I have really enjoyed being able to come into the office again and bounce ideas around when we have been able to do so. Since joining the company I have three new accounts to work on and the opportunity to meet some of our lovely clients at South West Holiday Parks (even if it was only over Teams!)
I have created new brand identities, exhibition materials and been involved in the designs for brochures, posters, banners and built-up the social media content for us and our clients, along with the company Christmas card and gift box sleeves! The team are looking forward to setting up our new wall in the studio, designed so we can be fully immersed in new or current projects, it’s also to encourage a collaborative approach and to share visuals. I can’t wait to share more of our work and gain new local business.
