Say hello to our Experience Britain window display!

2023 is here! And with the days getting brighter and Cambridge Creative (CC) getting busier, we of course had to say goodbye to our beautiful Christmas window display and give our new client, Experience Britain, a massive warm welcome.

The eye-catching window design came from our very own creative mastermind, Dave Vary. As senior graphic designer, Dave loves a challenge. And the task of harmoniously showcasing both the CC and Experience Britain brands together in one design definitely provided that! Working closely with his very talented design colleagues and with input from CC head honcho, Jim, the window artwork was put together with ease.

A key consideration when designing window displays is to get the balance right between design and clear space so that the final product doesn’t block out too much light from the room. After all, we don’t want to miss out on any of that lovely spring light! He also needed to ensure that the office still had some privacy. Luckily Dave loves working with this type of large format media, as there are always so many options and avenues to explore.

Dave likes to factor in how a design will make a person feel when they look at it, so to make the finished window art really POP, he had an idea to make the pictured lodge glow at night-time. He removed key areas of ink on the artwork and then, once our friends at the Cambridge Sign Company had put the display up for us, Dave added a spotlight that shines through the glass from behind. It gives a lovely cosy feel to the window!

Dave’s favourite bit about the design is the reaction we get from the village. People stop in their tracks to take a peep; it’s become a real head turner! This makes us super proud as we like to be part of the local community, and we try our best to do so.
